They ruminate on the nature of guilt, absolution, forgiveness, faith, and the intercession of God as they recall the fate of another man who also made mistakes and tried to fix them, and whose life ended tragically at Sully's hand. Sully finally comes to a place where he can forgive himself and go on with life. He seeks out Davis to once again beg his forgiveness and reaffirm their connection to each other.

Greg announces that he may soon become Executive Director of Business Affairs, instead of what he is now... Executive Manager of Business Affairs. Since the new position is between him and his co-worker, Stuart, Jimmy recommends he suck up to his boss to ensure he gets it. Though initially skeptical, Greg has a chance to follow that advice when he goes to see Jimmy play at the studio's softball game, and bumps into his boss, Mr. Savitsky. Jimmy hits a home run and wins the game for his team. Then Greg gets the promotion. Greg is annoyed when Jimmy brags that his home run clinched it for him. Fearing Jimmy might be right, Greg asks Savitsky point blank if he got promoted over Stuart because he works harder. Savitsky tells him he did, but when Greg brings up Jimmy's home run afterwards, Savitsky remembers that it was because of the home run after all. Event: ENGLAND 455 A.D. Nigel and Sydney are called in to investigate a man bludgeoned to death with what turns out to be a relic: the Cross of Arthur. Winston Hubbard has been seeking the Cross, and the dead man's wife, Sarah Glover, believes he killed her husband. Sydney and Nigel eventually track the Cross through a cryptic series of clues, only to find out that Hubbard's nurse and Sarah herself arranged Sarah's husband's death, shared an affair with Hubbard's handyman, and framed Hubbard. Sarah kills the handyman and forces an alliance with the nurse, Emma. Nigel and Sydney put a stop to them both and recover the Cross.
